Today was a great day. It was just one of those days that I wish I could bottle up and save forever. You know, so I can open it up on those not so great days when there is lots of tantrums, crying and foot stomping. By me, not Harper. What?! I can’t be the only momma who does that, can I?
Anyway, back to our great day. We didn’t do anything special but we were all together, laughing and wearing our pjs longer than we should have. We did laundry, cleaned the kitchen and watched far too many episodes of Curious George on Netflix. “George!” is Harper’s current favorite thing. That and practicing “Circle!” making on every piece of paper she can get her sweet little crayon holding hands on.
This afternoon I decided to break out my real camera to take pictures. It had been so long since I used it that, of course, the battery was dead and the memory card was full. After the camera charged I took a short trip down memory lane as I watched the pictures download, Harper’s 12 month pictures and Keith & Amy’s surprise engagement from Christmas. That’s a long time to go without taking pictures with a real camera. Nearly all of Harper’s second year was captured with my iPhone. Unacceptable.
As soon as I pointed the camera in her direction, Harper shouted “Cheese!” and raised her arms to grab it. After fighting her off a few times I was able to get a few pictures of her to document our great day. It felt good to use my camera again.
Happy Sunday, friends. Happy Sunday.
